Power Grid of India (NSE:POWERGRID, BOM:532898) has been declared the successful bidder for an interstate transmission project in Gujarat under tariff-based competitive bidding, according to an Aug. 21 filing to the Indian exchanges.
The project, awarded on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis, carries a discovered tariff of 8.23 billion rupees per year.
It involves setting up a new GIS substation at Kalyanpur, along with transformer augmentation and bay extension works at substations under construction in Gujarat, as well as a 765-kilovolt transmission line across the state.
