PolyPid Completes Rolling NDA Submission to FDA for D-PLEX100

PolyPid (PYPD) has completed its rolling new drug application submission to the US Food and Drug Administration for D-PLEX100 for the prevention of surgical site infections in patients undergoing colorectal surgery, the company said Monday.

The company said it expects a potential FDA decision in Q1 2027 under the Prescription Drug User Fee Act review timeline.

The submission is backed by data from a Phase 3 trial in which D-PLEX100 met its primary and all key secondary endpoints, and reduced surgical site infection risk by 60% compared with standard of care, PolyPid said.

Oncolytics Says Preclinical Results Back Further Evaluation of Pelareorep Plus RAS-Targeted Approaches

Oncolytics Biotech (ONCY) said Monday that initial results from a preclinical study assessing pelareorep plus RAS inhibitor modalities in a solid tumor model showed evidence of the combination's greater anti-tumor activity than with the individual approaches alone.The company said that, based on the results, it is planning further studies in models of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and colorectal cancer to further assess the combinations' anti-tumor and immune effects.Full results from the initial preclinical studies are slated to be presented in the fall or winter of this year, Oncolytics said.The company's shares were up more than 8% in Monday premarket trading.
