Polycab India's (NSE:POLYCAB, BOM:542652) consolidated attributable profit rose to 7.84 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, against 5.92 billion rupees a year earlier.
Earnings per share climbed to 51.94 rupees from 39.21 rupees a year ago, according to a filing on Thursday by the wire and cable manufacturer.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q1 also increased to 82.1 billion rupees from 59.1 billion rupees a year earlier.
The company's shares fell nearly 1% in recent trade.
