PG&E, GM Energy Launch Smart Charge Bundle for EV Owners

PG&E (PCG) subsidiary Pacific Gas and Electric said Wednesday it has entered into a partnership with General Motors (GM) GM Energy unit to launch the Smart Charge Bundle to give Northern and Central California customers a home charging station and utility incentives.

The bundle includes a charger at no additional cost and $15 in monthly bill credits on customers' PG&E bills after installation, the utility provider said.

Spire Global Wins $33.2 Million NOAA Contract for Satellite Weather Data

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
