PetroChina's H1 Profit Rises 22%

PetroChina (HKG:0857) posted an attributable net profit of 103.9 billion yuan for the first half, up 22% from 85.2 billion yuan a year earlier.

The oil and gas company's earnings per share stood at 0.57 yuan, compared with 0.47 yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.

Revenue increased 5.3% year over year to 1.527 trillion yuan for the six months ended June 30 from 1.450 trillion yuan.

PetroChina declared an interim dividend of 0.26 yuan per share for the period under review.
