Petrobras Enters 8 Offshore Exploration Blocks in Cote D'Ivoire

By

Petrobras' (PBR) unit Petrobras Netherlands signed production sharing contracts for eight offshore exploration blocks in Cote d'Ivoire, the company said Thursday.

The company said it will hold a 90% interest in the blocks and serve as operator, while PETROCI Holding will hold the remaining 10% interest.

The agreements expand Petrobras' exploration portfolio in the African equatorial margin and support its strategy to replenish oil and gas reserves through new exploration frontiers, it added.
