Perpetua Resources (PPTA), the US Army and Idaho National Laboratory said Thursday they are opening a mineral processing pilot plant to help establish a domestic supply chain for antimony, a critical mineral essential to US national security.
The facility in Idaho Falls was designed to use antimony samples from Perpetua's Stibnite gold project in central Idaho with the objective of demonstrating how to process antimony trisulfide for use in specialized applications, according to the statement.
