Panion & BF Biotech (TPE:1760) board has approved an authorization deal to support the market access process for its new kidney drug, Nephoxil (Ferric Citrate Capsules) in mainland China, according to a Friday Taiwan Exchange filing.
Under the arrangement, Weigao Peritoneal Dialysis Technology (Weihai) will act as the in-country representative and general agent for Nephoxil for one year.
The company will handle medical insurance registration, price negotiations, regulatory compliance and sales preparations related to China's National Reimbursement Drug List.
Panion said the move will to support Nephoxil's reimbursement application timeline in China, and does not have an immediate impact on its financial position or operations.
