Otsuka (TYO:4578) raised its 2026 attributable profit forecast to 355 billion yen from 265 billion yen previously estimated.
The healthcare conglomerate now expects basic earnings per share of 675.47 yen, up from 504.94 yen previously, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.
Revenue forecast for the year was lifted to 2.725 trillion yen from 2.520 trillion yen.
The upward revision was driven by continued growth in key drugs including Rexulti, Lonsurf and Voyxact, later-than-expected arrival of generic versions of Jynarque in the U.S. and Abilify Maintena in Europe and strong nutraceutical sales, as well as a weaker yen.
