Otsuka Holdings (TYO:4578) has revised its forecast for first-half profit attributable to owners of the company to 215 billion yen, up 68% from 128 billion yen previously, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.
The healthcare conglomerate now expects EPS of 407.90 yen, up from 243.07 yen previously.
The revenue forecast was increased to 1.332 trillion yen from 1.218 trillion yen.
The revision was due to the strong performance of the company's businesses, driven by the later-than-estimated arrival of the generic versions of Jynarque in the US and Abilify Maintena in Europe, solid results from Voyxact, Rebuilt, and Lonsurf, as well as a positive foreign exchange rate dynamic.
