ORIX JREIT (TYO:8954) will secure 2 billion yen through new unsecured, non-guaranteed loans from The Bank of Iwate and Kansai Mirai Bank on Sept. 24 to prepay 5 billion yen worth of debt, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.
The loans carry floating rates of three‑month JPY TIBOR plus 0.14% and 0.20%, with maturities in 2031 and 2036.
The proceeds, along with cash on hand, will be used to prepay 5 billion yen in loans from Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group (TYO:8309) subsidiary Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (TYO:8306) subsidiary MUFG Bank on Sept. 24, with no one‑time prepayment costs.
Shares of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group added nearly 2% at market close.
