Optiscan Imaging (ASX:OIL) is set to start a US clinical study assessing the safety, performance and workflow utility of its InVue precision surgery imaging device and InForm digital pathology imaging device in patients undergoing breast-conserving surgery, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The company said the study will evaluate InVue for in vivo surgical imaging and InForm for ex vivo digital pathology imaging in 35 US patients, seeking to validate an integrated surgical-pathology workflow for US market entry and broader clinical expansion.
The company's shares rose 7% in recent Wednesday trade.
