Ondas Acquires 3 Defense Technology Firms for $56 Million

Ondas (ONDS) said Wednesday it has acquired defense technology firms Insignito, Ottopia Defense and Caribou Labs for $56 million, payable in cash or Ondas common stock.

The transactions also include potential earnout consideration of up to $32 million, payable upon the achievement of key performance milestones through 2028, the company said.

According to the company, the Insignito deal adds a unique passive acoustic sensing layer to detect, classify and track drones. Ottopia provides software and communications infrastructure for unmanned maneuvering platforms, while Caribou Labs provides global navigation satellite systems-denied navigation.

Spire Global Wins $33.2 Million NOAA Contract for Satellite Weather Data

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
