Olympus' (TYO:7733) profit attributable to owners of the parent surged 113% to 19.1 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter from 9 billion yen a year earlier.
The medical equipment maker's earnings per share rose to 17.76 yen from 7.97 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.
Revenue increased 16% to 240.4 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 206.5 billion yen.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects profit attributable to owners of the parent in the range of 95.5 billion yen to 109 billion yen, EPS of 89.59 yen to 102.26 yen, and revenue of 1.055 trillion yen to 1.076 trillion yen.
The company plans to pay a year-end dividend of 30 yen per share, unchanged from the previous fiscal year.
