Okamura (TYO:7994) said its board has approved plans to dissolve and liquidate two wholly owned consolidated subsidiaries, Sanyo Okamura Corp and Sunahata Co., voluntarily, according to a Wednesday filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The Japan-based manufacturer said the dissolution is part of its efforts to optimize its production framework based on its 2028 long-term vision and mid-term management plan.
Sanyo Okamura is scheduled to suspend operations on June 30, 2027, while Sunahata Co. is scheduled to cease operations on March 31, 2027.
The dissolution and liquidation of the two units remain subject to conditions.
