OD6 Metals Validates High-Grade Historical Drilling Results at Nevada Fluorspar Project, Shares Jump 10%

By

OD6 Metals (ASX:OD6) said it validated high-grade historic drilling results from Union Carbide Corporation at the Horseshoe fluorspar deposit, part of the Quinn fluorspar project in Nevada, confirming fluorspar, or calcium fluoride, mineralization from surface, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

A four-hole shallow drilling program was conducted in 1958. The drilling targeted the southern corner of the system and did not test the high-grade core later exposed in open-pit mining, and historical assaying only tested bulk fluorspar intercept zones.

Intercepts included 14.3 meters at 70.9% grade of calcium fluoride from the surface, as well as 25.8m at 46.2% grade of calcium fluoride from 0.9 meters.

Its shares jumped 10% in recent trading on Thursday.
