Oceanic Iron Ore Up 7% As Appoints Ashley Kates as Its CFO And Corporate Secretary

Oceanic Iron Ore (FEO.V) appointed Ashley Kates as its Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary, it said on Monday.

Kates has been a finance executive for nearly 20 years, the company said.

Outgoing CFO and Corporate Secretary Gerrie van der Westhuizen, who will continue to work with the company for a period of transition, has served in that capacity since the beginning of 2023 and more generally with the company since 2020 alongside his full-time duties as CFO and Corporate Secretary of Artemis Gold (ARTG.V), it added.

Shares of the company were last seen up 7.8% at $0.83 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
