NuScale Power (SMR) is deploying nuclear-specific AI tools from Nuclearn and NPX to support engineering and knowledge management as it advances its next-generation SMR program, the company said Tuesday.
The initiative combines NuScale's reactor expertise with Nuclearn's AtomAssist AI platform and NPX's nuclear project experience to streamline access to engineering, licensing, technical and institutional information, the company said.
NuScale's initial proof of concept showed the AI tools could cut information-search time by up to 80% while identifying relevant engineering methods and standards, it added.
Shares of NuScale rose more than 3% in premarket activity Tuesday.
