Nurix Therapeutics (NRIX) said Tuesday it received a $10 million milestone payment from Sanofi (SNY) following the start of a phase 1 first-in-human clinical trial for SAR448272/NX-3911, an oral STAT6 degrader.
STAT6 plays a key role in interleukin-4 and interleukin-13 signaling pathways involved in type 2 inflammation and diseases such as atopic dermatitis and asthma, the company added.
With this payment, Nurix has received about $139 million under its 2019 collaboration deal with Sanofi, which is responsible for ongoing clinical development of SAR448272, it said.
