NTT (TYO:9432) posted a 5.8% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners to 274.8 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 259.7 billion yen.
The Japan-based telecommunications company's basic earnings per share increased to 3.38 yen from 3.14 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Thursday.
Operating revenues jumped 10.9% to 3.618 trillion yen from 3.262 trillion yen in the year-ago period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts an attributable profit of 980 billion yen, basic EPS of 12.10 yen, and operating revenues of 15.06 trillion yen.
The company plans to pay a second quarter-end dividend of 2.70 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
