NTPC's Step Down Subsidiary Starts Commercial Operations of 56.7 MW Wind Capacity

NTPC's (NSE:NTPC, BOM:532555) step-down subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy, via NTPC Green Energy, began commercial operations of 56.7 MW of wind capacity in Gujarat, effective Tuesday, according to a same-day bours filing.

The capacity includes 6.3 MW at the Vanki Wind Energy Project in Kutch and 50.4 MW at the Jamjodhpur Wind Energy Project in Jamnagar, according to a Tuesday Indian bourse filing. Both projects are part of the 1,050 MW wind component of the 500 MW REMCL round-the-clock power project.

The NTPC group's total installed capacity now stands at 91,221 MW, with commercial capacity at 90,141 MW.
