The National Stock Exchange of India said the Securities and Exchange Board of India has granted in-principle approval to settle certain past regulatory lapses, subject to payment of 14.9 billion Indian rupees.
The exchange's auditor said in NSE's earnings report that SEBI accepted the bourse's proposed settlement offer in a letter issued on Thursday.
The long-running case involved allegations of governance lapses and the exchange's failure to provide equitable access to all trading members, according to Reuters.
