Novartis India (NSE:NOVARTIND, BOM:500672) said its net profit fell to 252.5 million Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter from 293.0 million rupees a year ago, according to a filing to the stock exchanges on Tuesday.
Earnings per share for the quarter ended March 31 slipped to 10.23 rupees from 11.87 rupees a year earlier.
Revenue from operations of the pharmaceutical company increased year on year to 905.5 million rupees from 838.8 million rupees, the filing said.
Shares of the company jumped over 6% in after-market hours.
