Norway's hydrocarbons output in April 2026 exceeded official forecasts, with daily combined production of crude oil, natural gas liquids and condensates averaging 2.158 million barrels per day, according to preliminary data released by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate on Wednesday.
This was 6.7% higher than the official projected average of 2.023 million b/d for the month, and compares with the average production of 2.142 million b/d in March and 2.029 million b/d in April last year.
In April, crude oil output averaged 1.94 million b/d, up 7.5% from the regulator's forecasts, while natural gas liquids averaged 195,000 b/d and condensates 19,000 b/d.
Gas output in April averaged 339.2 million cubic meters per day, 3.5% down from the previous month and 0.8% lower than the year-ago period.
Total gas sales for the month stood at 10.2 billion cubic meters, down 700 million standard cubic meters from March.
Overall petroleum production in 2026 stood at 83.7 million cubic meters of oil equivalent, about 4 million cubic meters of oil equivalent more than last year.
