Norway's hydrocarbons output in May exceeded official forecasts, with daily combined production of crude oil, natural gas liquids and condensates averaging 1.91 million barrels per day, according to preliminary data released by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate on Tuesday.
This was 5.9% higher than the official projected average of 1.80 million b/d for the month, and compares with average production of 2.17 million b/d in April and 1.97 million b/d in May last year.
In May, crude oil output averaged 1.72 million b/d, up 7.2% from the regulator's forecasts, while natural gas liquids averaged 172,000 b/d and condensates 16,000 b/d.
Gas output in May averaged 303 million cubic meters per day, 11% down from the previous month but 1.4% higher than the year-ago period.
