Newcore Gold (NCAU.V) said diamond drilling at the Enchi project in Ghana continues to intersect mineralization above the resource grade and extend the principal structures of the Nyam gold deposit.
Diamond drill hole NBDD086 intersected 3.51 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 21.0 meters from 245 meters, with a higher-grade interval of 5.91 g/t gold over 9.0 meters from 251 meters.
An 80,000 meter drill program is ongoing at Enchi.
"These holes successfully intersected gold mineralization below the reserve pits and in areas that have historically seen limited drilling. As the third largest deposit currently defined at Enchi, Nyam remains open along strike and at depth, with this drilling continuing to support our interpretation that the mineralized system continues at depth," said Greg Smith, who heads exploration at Newcore.
