The U.S. Federal Communications Commission on Tuesday updated its "Covered List" to include imports of new robots and power inverters, according to a same-day government document.
The latest restrictions target Chinese cybersecurity risks while pressuring firms to bring artificial intelligence manufacturing to the U.S, Reuters reported.
"These devices could create supply chain vulnerabilities that could disrupt U.S. economic and national security and could create a cybersecurity risk that threatened American critical infrastructure," the FCC said.
