National Storage REIT Says Second Court Hearing for Acquisition by Brookfield, GIC Consortium Slated for April 21

National Storage REIT (ASX:NSR) said the court hearing to approve the acquisition of all the shares of National Storage by Iridium SP BidCo and ITG Australia TS Sub as trustee for Iridium SP Bid Trust and grant a second judicial advice will take place on April 21 in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The bidders are entities established and jointly indirectly owned by a consortium of funds owned or managed by Brookfield Asset Management or its affiliates and their managed funds, as well as affiliates of GIC. Under the deal, the REIT's shareholders will receive AU$2.86 in cash per stapled security.

National Storage's security holders have the right to appear and be heard at the court hearing and may oppose the approval of the scheme or the granting of the judicial advice, the filing noted.

Litian Pictures to Raise HK$10 Million via Share Placement

Litian Pictures (HKG:9958) said it plans to place up to 68 million new shares at HK$0.156 apiece under its general mandate, raising net proceeds of about HK$10.3 million, according to an April 10 Hong Kong bourse filing.Shares of the film production company were down nearly 4% in late morning trade on Monday.The placing shares represent about 15.7% of the company's existing issued share capital.The placing price represents a discount of about 15% to the stock's last close and nearly 16.8% to the five-day average price, the filing said.Litian Pictures said net proceeds will be used for general working capital.
