Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (TYO:8306) said its unit MU Digital Bank Establishment Preparation received a banking license and was renamed MUFG Emut Bank, according to a Thursday release.
The Tokyo‑listed group said the bank, a subsidiary of MUFG Bank, will operate under the service name Emut Bank.
MUFG Emut Bank is expected to begin offering services between January and March 2027, with the launch aimed at enhancing profitability and convenience, the release said.

ST Group Food (SGX:DRX) said liquidators have issued their final notice and report to the creditors for the liquidation of GCTea 2B and GCTea 2A, according to a Wednesday filing to the Singapore stock exchange.The liquidators also plan to file the 'Notice of Final Account' before the dissolution.Last year, the company decided to liquidate GCTea 2B and GCTea 2A as part of its strategic plans to exit from the Gong Cha Brand in the United Kingdom.
