MTQ Swings to Loss in Fiscal H2

Engineering, repair and maintenance services company, MTQ (SGX:M05), booked an attributable loss to owners of SG$4.6 million during the fiscal second half ended March 31, against an attributable profit of SG$4.2 million a year earlier.

Shares of the company were up over 2% in Wednesday afternoon trading.

Total loss per share came in at SG$0.0201 compared with earnings per share of SG$0.0117 in the year-ago period, according to a Tuesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Revenue for the second half declined 10% year over year to SG$26.9 million from SG$29.8 million.
