Samvardhana Motherson International (BOM:517334, NSE:MOTHERSON) completed the acquisition of an 81% stake with voting rights in Japan's Yutaka Giken through its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Motherson Global Investments, according to a Wednesday exchange filing.
The transaction was completed after Yutaka Giken bought back the shares held by Honda Motor, resulting in Motherson Global Investments holding an 81% stake and Honda Motor retaining the remaining 19%.
Motherson first announced the acquisition in August 2025 and previously posted that the transaction was expected to close in the second quarter of fiscal 2027.
