Momentus (MNTS) said Wednesday it won a commercial agreement with the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at the University of Colorado Boulder to deliver services in orbit with a launch window of 2027.
The company will hold and manage two devices for a space weather tracking mission aboard its Vigoride-9 orbital vehicle, the company said.
The specialized equipment will analyze atmospheric thickness variations from solar observations to advance environmental tracking for satellites operating in low Earth orbit, Momentus said.
Shares of the company were up over 19% in Wednesday premarket activity.
