Minor International (BKK:MINT) has decided to postpone its REIT listing plan, primarily due to unfavorable market conditions, including the Middle East conflict and rising interest rates.
The company believes proceeding now would not offer adequate returns for stakeholders, as the required yield would exceed its weighted average cost of capital (WCC), according to Namida Artispong, head of investor relations, during an analyst call on Thursday.
The deferral is not related to any process issues, but is purely a response to current market sentiment, the executive said.
Separately, Minor Food's potential listing is still under study, with further updates to be provided as progress is made.
