Minieye Technology (HKG:2431) agreed to acquire a 50% stake in Xi'an Tongtu Technology in a cash plus equity deal valued at 25 million yuan, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The firm said it will settle payment to ZTO Express by issuing 20 million yuan worth of shares at HK$9.81 each and 5 million yuan in cash.
The 2.3 million H shares to be granted under the deal represent 0.57% of the company's issued share capital and 0.56% as enlarged by the sale.
Xi'an Tongtu Technology operates in the unmanned vehicle operations business and the acquisition offers an opportunity for Minieye to integrate the target's technology for its own driverless vehicle efforts, the firm said.
Xi'an Tongtu Technology will serve as a subsidiary of Minieye following the purchase.
Minieye shares were up nearly 5% in late morning trade Monday.
