Minda's Consolidated Profit More Than Doubles in Fiscal Q4

Minda (NSE:MINDACORP, BOM:538962) posted a sharp increase in its attributable consolidated profit after tax to 1.25 million Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 from 520.3 million rupees a year ago.

Earnings per share climbed to 5.21 rupees from the year-ago figure of 2.18 rupees, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges by the auto components manufacturer.

Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4 also increased to 17.0 billion rupees from 13.2 billion rupees a year earlier.

The board recommended a final dividend of 0.80 rupees per share for the fiscal year ended March 31.

Shares of the company jumped nearly 8% in after-market hours.
