Micron Technology (MU) said Tuesday it has successfully demonstrated the world's first 512GB DDR5 RDIMM module on multiple server platforms, delivering speeds of up to 9,200 Megatransfers per second.
The company is working with leading ecosystem enablers, including AMD (AMD) and Intel (INTC), to validate the module and ensure broad compatibility, according to a statement.
Micron said it expects 512GB RDIMMs to be in volume production sometime in the second half of 2027.
