Microelectronics Technology (TPE:2314) resolved to issue 81.3 million common shares through a private placement, within a previously approved limit of up to 100 million shares, according to a Monday Taiwan Exchange filing.
Shares gained about 2% Tuesday's afternoon trade.
The shares were priced at NT$12.30 per share, compared with a reference price of NT$15.37, reflecting an 80% discount.
The company will use the funds to supplement working capital and support operational growth.
