Metaplanet to Secure 95.7% Stake in Super League With $135 Million Investment

Metaplanet (TYO:3350) will invest $134.6 million in Super League Enterprise via its U.S. subsidiary Metaplanet Holdings, contributing 2,100 Bitcoin valued at about $132.1 million and $2.5 million in cash for newly issued securities, according to a Wednesday filing with the Tokyo bourse.

Upon completion of the transaction, Super League will be renamed Superplanet and will become a subsidiary of Metaplanet.

Metaplanet will hold about 95.7% of Superplanet's common shares, the filing said.

Shares of Metaplanet fell more than 2% in recent trade.
