MetaOptics (SGX:9MT) agreed to install and deploy its metalens Direct Laser Writer (DLW) at Stanford University's nano@stanford facility.
The DLW is designed for four-inch glass wafers and enables rapid prototyping of metalens samples within weeks, as well as small-volume production for pilot builds and customer evaluations, according to a Thursday Singapore Exchange filing.
MetaOptics said the DLW uses a 100-nanometer ultra-high-precision laser capable of fabricating more than 100 metalenses simultaneously, supporting applications, including co-packaged optics, high-speed interconnects and imaging.
The equipment will be managed by nano@stanford and will be made available to its members. The facility serves more than 1,400 industry, government and university members annually.
The company said the deployment will support technical validation, customer engagement and the development of a "mini foundry" for quick-turnaround, small-volume metalens prototyping in Silicon Valley.
