Metallium (ASX:MTM) completed its first multi-unit flash joule heating (FJH) reactor hot commissioning campaign at its technology development facility in Texas, with three FJH units successfully operated simultaneously during a 12-hour campaign, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The company said 18 successful batches were completed and about 0.3 tonnes of inert material processed during the campaign, with operating throughput broadly consistent with processing reactor feed volumes derived from several tonnes per day of incoming commercial feedstocks following preprocessing and upgrading.
The campaign achieved 83% availability and about 100% utilization during active operation of the three simultaneous units, providing confidence in the robustness and scalability of the FJH operating platform, it added.
The company's shares fell past 4% in recent Tuesday trade.
