Meta Muse Monetization Seen Limited Near Term, Wedbush Says

By

Meta Platforms (META) Muse consumer AI agent is an interesting development at the intersection of AI and commerce, but management views the personal AI agent as a longer-term monetization opportunity, Wedbush Securities said in a note Friday.

The investment firm estimates Muse subscriptions could generate about $5 billion in 2027, or roughly 1.5% of its total revenue estimate.

Early adoption has been constructive, with Muse ranking No. 2 among the most downloaded apps on the US App Store, although the product is brand-new and will require consumer education and product-market fit.

The brokerage sees additional potential from advertising, payments and Business AI, but said it is too early to assign estimates to advertising and payments. AI model improvements and potential API licensing could provide additional monetization opportunities over time.

Wedbush maintained a neutral rating and raised its price target to $650 from $595.
