Inner Mongolia MengDian HuaNeng Thermal Power (SHA:600863) reported first-half power generation of 25.3 billion kilowatt-hours, down 5.3% from the previous year.
Grid-connected power fell 5.6% to 23.4 billion kWh, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Coal production slipped 3.7% to 6.7 million tons, while external coal sales dropped 9.6% to 3.2 million tons.
Shares of the power company were up 3% Tuesday.
