Meeka Metals Achieves Targeted Plant Throughput in July, August

By

Meeka Metals' (ASX:MEK) processing plant consistently achieved its targeted throughput of around 600,000 tonnes per year in July and August, reaching an annualized processing rate of 630,000 tonnes per annum in August, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The ore sorter installation is progressing well, with commissioning scheduled for early October and about 50,000 tonnes of Andy Well underground ore already stockpiled, per the filing.

The ore sorter is expected to roughly double the ore head grade, allowing up to around 800,000 tonnes per annum of run-of-mine material to be processed through the existing 600,000 tonnes per annum mill while freeing capacity for ore from the planned Turnberry underground mine, the filing added.
