Medtronic (MDT) said Wednesday it is planning to acquire medical technology firm SPR Therapeutics for an upfront cash payment of about $650 million.
The acquisition will allow Medtronic to provide more pain relief options earlier in the care continuum, according to a statement.
The deal is expected to close within H1 of Medtronic's fiscal year, which started on April 25, the company said.
