Mebuki Financial's (TYO:7167) net income attributable to owners jumped 55% to 34.5 billion yen in the fiscal first quarter, from 22.2 billion yen a year earlier.
Earnings per share increased to 36.75 yen from 23.24 yen in the year-ago quarter, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday.
Ordinary income increased 39% year on year to 137.9 billion yen in the three months ended June 30.
The banking group raised its earnings forecast for fiscal 2026 and now expects a net profit of 105 billion yen, up from its previous forecast, with basic earnings per share of 111.87 yen.
Mebuki also revised its dividend forecast higher, increasing the planned year-end dividend to 16 yen per share from 12 yen, bringing the expected annual dividend to 28 yen per share, compared with 22 yen forecast previously.
