MatsukiyoCocokara's (TYO:3088) profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped nearly 15% to 14.9 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter from 12.9 billion yen a year earlier.
The retailer's earnings per share rose to 37.58 yen from 32.29 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.
Net sales grew 5.7% to 289.3 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 273.6 billion yen in the year-ago corresponding period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 59 billion yen, basic EPS of 149.18 yen, and net sales of 1.155 trillion yen. The company expects to pay interim and year-end dividends of 28 yen per share, each for the fiscal year.
