Marumae (TYO:6264) said no employee injuries or damage to buildings or equipment had been confirmed at its Izumi and Takaono factories or subsidiary KM Aluminium following Tuesday's earthquake, according to a same-day filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The earthquake struck Japan's Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures. Marumae said it will provide an update if any damage is confirmed as aftershocks continue.
Shares of the machinery manufacturer gained nearly 2% in recent trade.
