Chinese robotics start-up X Square Robot has confidentially filed for a Hong Kong initial public offering, South China Morning Post reported on Wednesday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
The company has appointed Morgan Stanley and Huatai Securities as sponsors for the potential listing, one of the sources reportedly told SCMP.
The Shenzhen-based start-up joins other Chinese robotics firms, including AgiBot and Galbot, which have also reportedly filed confidentially for Hong Kong IPOs, as companies in the sector seek capital market funding despite new U.S. trade restrictions, SCMP noted.
X Square did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
