Williams Companies (WMB) a natural gas processing infrastructure enterprise, may buy peer pipeline operator Momentum Midstream for about $5.5 billion, Bloomberg reported Sunday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

According to the report, Williams is in talks to acquire the privately held Momentum Midstream from private equity firm EnCap Flatrock Midstream.

Representatives for Williams and EnCap Flatrock Midstream did not immediately respond to a request fromfor comment.
