The U.S. will ask Americans which Chinese goods deserve lower tariffs, with a public notice to be issued soon, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.
Both the U.S. and China agreed on a "Board of Trade" that aims to slash levies on $30 billion in non-strategic goods, according to the report.
Greer said U.S. tariffs on China will likely stay higher than others. He added that while there will be no significant reform in China's political system, "some managed trade" is possible, Reuters wrote.
